Friends incorporated in 1971 and has been helping seniors within Onslow County, North Carolina for over 50 years! The nonprofit was created by a small group of forward thinking community leaders that recognized the need for coordination of donations aimed at assisting the elderly citizens of Onslow County.

Friends of the Aging:

• Is committed to providing fair and equitable assistance to seniors based on need and sustainability

• Will never make decisions or allow discrimination based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, disability or sexual orientation

• Values an individual's right to self determination and to choose their journey

• Believes that seniors make up an integral part of our community and as such should be included as partners in planning for the programs and processes that involve them and their families
